Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Your new job:

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our ambitious and growing Tech team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining IFG’s infrastructure and cloud solutions to support the delivery of our customer-facing websites and back office systems.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Enjoy working from home while still be able to, sometimes, travel to the company’s physical premises in order to carry out work on our IT systems.
Be willing to take on some on-call work, if required.
Develop and maintain IFG’s cloud infrastructure.
Establish, develop and maintain IFG’s IaC solution.
Extending and maintaining IFG’s network infrastructure.
Monitoring infrastructure and networks and remediating any problems that might arise.
Ensuring that our infrastructure adheres to security best practices.
Assisting with efforts to reduce costs across our IT estate.
Ensuring that documentation describing infrastructure is kept up to date and reflects reality.
Assist with other IT tasks and system administration as required.
Stay up to date with new trends and technologies as we always welcome the opportunity to improve our processes.

What are we looking for?

Experience in:

AWS cloud infrastructure is required.
Infrastructure as Code generally and Terraform specifically.
Configuration management tools (Salt, Chef, Puppet).
Building CI/CD pipelines.
Containers and Container Orchestration (Docker, ECS, Fargate, Kubernetes).
Implementing best practice at networks and security.
Azure is desirable.

Key Skills

Strong commercial knowledge of Linux, or Unix based systems.
Scripting ability in a commercial capacity. [Bash (required), Python, Ruby].
Experience of Agile / Scrum methodologies.
Quickly learn and utilise new technologies .
Enjoy solving complex, multi-system problems.
Be ambitious, and comfortable working in high-pressure environment.
