Senior UI Software Engineer

Your new job:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced UI Software Engineer to join our growing and ambitious technology team, location London/Remote.

As Senior UI Software Engineer you will be tasked with the maintenance, upkeep and improvement of our existing UI estate which comprises a number of high-volume transactional e-commerce websites. In addition, you will be charged with the delivery of new UI features and integrating these with backend applications and APIs to provide a best-in-class user experience for IFG’s customers.

You should have experience in leading and guiding more junior UI developers and driving best practice and innovation in the area of UI and UX while providing business value through the delivery of the Product Roadmap.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The opportunity to take ownership of the entire project life cycle and support from requirements gathering through to test.
You should be a hands-on engineer, comfortable delivering UI features whilst also being able to guide and mentor more junior members of the team in best practice and industry trends.
You will contribute architectural ideas in User Interface design and work closely with the Product Management function to assist in the creation of rapid prototypes that can be deployed and measured through A/B tests.
You should have significant experience integrating UIs with custom and third-party APIs as part of the delivery of dynamic web applications.
You should be comfortable reviewing other engineers’ code, guide and coach them on best practices to ensure high coding standards are maintained.
